Two Sets of Facts

In life there are two sets of facts–one we can manage and one we cannot. We must make a distinction between them. The trouble comes when we worry over what is beyond our control and, by doing so, double our burden. Our duty is to do our best with the things we are responsible for, and trust God for the rest. Someone prayed: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
